A week ago, Palestinian terrorists ambushed an Israeli family, forcing an 8-month pregnant mother off the road, where the terrorists walked up and finished her and her 4 daughters off at point-blank range, including the 2 year old baby still in her car seat. http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/422750.html
Islamic Jihad (religion of peace?) and the Popular Resistance Committees, a Fatah-related group, claimed responsibility.
As you can see from this Fatah press release of February 2004 (http://www.ipc.gov.ps/ipc_e/ipc_e-1/e_News/news2004/2004_02/104.html), Yasser Arafat (1994 Nobel Peace Prize) is the Chairman of Fatah. Notice in the text that they debate what to do with the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, which they call the military wing of the movement. Al Aqsa has murdered scores of Israelis in suicide bombings and shooting attacks.
The reason there is no peace is because the Palestinians don't want it - they prefer their terror war. The reason it is successful is because Europeans, Arabs and the UN legitimize it - why else would they support Arafat? If Rumsfeld is responsible for the aberrant behavior at Abu Ghraib, then Arafat is responsible for the actions of Al Aqsa and the Popular Resistance Committees.
And John Kerry's assertion that the "peace process" is frozen because of Bush's inattention to it shows a total lack of understanding of the issue. If he knew anything, he'd know that peace will only happen when the principals want it, not because some 3rd party sets up meetings to talk about it.
In the end, simply more hypocrisy from liberals and terror-apologists.
